Christians at work
As a Christian, it was sometimes difficult to be able to take God with me to work amongst the constraints, frustrations and plights that are generally associated with the workplace. I had always professed to my co-workers that I was a servant of God but work was the only place where I wasn’t serving him. I would come in on a morning, do my job, have a few laughs, share some stories, and then leave when my shift had ended. The only time people remembered that I was a Christian was on Sundays when I showed up at the office after church. I hid my love for God so that I could fit in with the rest of my co-workers and I was doing so until God gave me a revelation through a special TV program. I picked up my helmet, suited on my armour and with my sword (the word of God) I have been fighting ever since........................Back to Links

How we started:
A group of about five individuals got together and decided to form a small spiritual prayer group under the head of Kurlyn George. She later chose to invite me to the group after realizing a total change in my actions at work. Slowly but surely we grew as more and more persons were being copied on the emails we sent to each other and the Lord led me to take charge. We decided to formalize this little group in an effort to give its members a source of identity and unity. Our first meeting held a heart warming attendance of almost all who were involved. The time we spent together at work and outside of work brought us closer together as the spiritually strong helped those who were weak in their areas of weaknesses. We later decided to get ourselves T-shirts which identified us with FOMFC and sought out permission to wear them at work on Fridays and on weekends of which we were granted by our HR Manager who later became a member of FOMFC. The name of the group became known as “Friends on a Mission for Christ.” The logo was designed by my cousin Stephen Dantes. ........................................Back to Links

Our purpose:
Our first aim is to act together as a subdivision of the church to bring forth the message of God and exemplifying that message in our every day lives at work in order to bring as many of our co-workers to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The second aim is to grow, not just within the boundaries of our workplace but as many workplaces as possible. I urge all Christians to be servants of our Most High God not only in church but at work. It is also my vision, that you find those at your workplace who love the Lord and join with them under the name, “Friends on a Mission for Christ.” Do not allow difference in religion or denomination get in the way of this. Our purpose is not to create division at work but to bring its employees closer together as we do our best to do the very same things that our Faith teaches us. Let us be one Church serving the Lord in all that we do. ..............Back to Links

valentine dantes

My name is Valentine D. Dantes and I am a proud member of Friends on a Mission for Christ (FOMFC). In times of struggle and when defeat seems inevitable, I look to see the eyes searching my soul and comforting my heart. The Lord never leaves us. He is always there watching and waiting. Even when I can't see any possible way or hope of victory, i rest my faith on the cradle of his protective arms and He never fails. It may take Him days to answer prayer, but His timing is never late. He always answers us at the right time and makes a way in the just moments.

He is our God. Lets us make a stand for Him without shame. For He said that whosoever is ashamed of Me, I will be ashamed of them before My Father.
God bless... .................................................Back to Top
