He was born Krishnan Noel Alexander on December 25th 1984 and grew up loving Soca and Jamaican Dancehall Reggae. He only fell in love with rap music in 1998, when the then "new artiste" DMX released his first album , "Its dark and hell is hot".
He was captivated by his rugged and powerful voice and even more, his hard hitting stories of crime poverty and struggle - something he was all too familure with seeing around me. Rap music became number 1 to him in the following year, with the debut of Eminem with his first album "The Slim Shady LP". Eminem who today remains his favourite rapper , drew him into his dark, troubled world with his compelling story telling in his own whitty and at times humorous way. According to DRAGON , " Anyhow , these are the two rap artists i can really credit with why i got into writing rap in 2000. However i never could write a complete 3 verse song until september 2001 when alot of emotional stuff started happening around me .
By February of 2002 , two friends and I , had formed a group and had made 30 songs which we had recorded using
simply a cheap mic and cassette recorder . We called ourselves "The Inmates". That was for two reasons: we felt trapped like prison inmates; we felt like asylum inmates , crazy for thinking we had a future in rap.
In March of that year I came to find out that a current A-Level class mate of mine was a really promissing rapper and he had songs on local radio. His name was Keen Cotter aka Mecca. I befriended him and learnt from him. He taught me how to use some computer software that would help with putting my music on CD and making it better quality .
He also showed me a bit of beat producing , but greatest of all , he introduced me to a friend of his 'Sherwin Brice', an even more accomplished producer than my classmate himself. .Sherwin took me under his wing and supplied me with beats and coached me into perfecting my rap style.
From then in 2002 up to this point , I have continued with my craft , perfecting it , and in the process teaching others how to write and sing rap. Today my total written songs total well over 200 and total recorded ones at about the 100 mark. These are indeed high figures , but if everything goes right , it will be worth my time and effort , when they return high figures."
I tell you folks, this dude's got skills both in writing and rapping as many call him a Jay-Z sound-alike. Download part of his poetic lyrics to GHOST and LOVE.
